Walking on Air :: Kerli

The internet has been out all week at my place. Oh well. Anyways, as such this is gonna be a short post since I'm making it from magpie. This song is called Walking on Air by the Estonian pop singer Kerli. I like the slightly dark synth-pop feel of the verses. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the chorus, but I enjoy the verses enough to get over it. Also, the sound quality isn't stellar on this clip, but it's the best one I could find. Sorry about that.

Happy Hump Day!

There's a little creepy house
In a little creepy place
Little creepy town
In a little creepy world
Little creepy girl
With her little creepy face
Saying funny things that you have never heard

Do you know what it's all about
Are you brave enough to figure out
Know that you could set your world on fire
If you are strong enough to leave your doubts

[Chorus:]
Feel it, breathe it, believe it
and you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high
and you'll be walking on air
Feel it, unless you kill it
go on and you're forgiven
I knew that I could feel that
I feel like I am walking on air

She has a little creepy cat
And a little creepy bat
Little rocking chair and an old blue hat
That little creepy girl
Oh she loves to sing
She has a little gift
An amazing thing
With her little funny eyes of hazel
With her little funny old blue hat
She will go and set the world on fire
No one ever thought she could do that

[Chorus:]
Feel it, breathe it, believe it
and you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high
and you'll be walking on air
Feel it, unless you kill it
go on and you'll forgiven
I knew that I could feel that
I feel like I am walking on air

flitter up and
hover down
Be all around
Be all around

You know that I love you go on

[Chorus:]
Feel it, breathe it, believe it
and you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high
and you'll be walking on air
Feel it, unless you kill it
go on and you'll forgiven
I knew that I could feel that
I feel like I am walking on air

I am walking on air
I am walking on air

One, Two, Three, GO! - Belanova

Lately I've been on a catchy summer music kick. While I have no idea what this song is about, it is summer, the song is catchy and I'm posting about it. This song is called One, Two, Three, GO! by a Mexican synth-pop band called Belanova. I heard the song during Nordic Fest (slightly ironic) in the courtyard by Sabor Latino, and it was stuck in my head all night. Who knows, maybe the alcohol contributed. The vocalist kind of reminds me of Kathleen Hanna (of Le Tigre) when she lets loose on the chorus, I think that hooked me as well.

Enjoy!
