Heartbeats :: The Knife

Hei hei! I'm writing to you from Oslo, Norway, home to the world's tallest, most attractive people (holy hell, they are an attractive people. But this is a music blog, I digress).

So everybody here is super into The Knife. They're all over- on the radio, in stores, in bars, everywhere. And I like it! Another cool Swedish act for our blog (Lykke Li, Peter, Bjorn & John, anyone else?)

Ha det bra! Enjoy.

One night to be confused
One night to speed up truth
We had a promise made
Four hands and then away
Both under influence
We had divine sense
To know what to say
Mind is a razorblade

To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no

One night of magic rush
The start: a simple touch
One night to push and scream
And then relief
Ten days of perfect tunes
The colours red and blue
We had a promise made
We were in love

To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no

To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, oh

And you
You knew the hand of a devil
And you
Kept us awake with wolves teeth
Sharing different heartbeats in one night

To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no

To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, oh

You forgot to mention Jens Lekman in our Swede-heavy blog! You can't forget Jens!

I hope you are taking lots of photos of all the attractive Norwegians.

Nice pick, by the way! I didn't realize "Heartbeats" was by The Knife. I knew the version by Jose Gonzalez, but didn't realize he was covering it! Check out Jose's version, it is beautiful.

What other cool Scandanavian stuff are you going to introduce us to, Brenda? I can't wait!
