Costa Paraiso :: El Guincho

So last week I was an RA for the Diversity Center Summer Seminars at Luther. Throughout the week the kids introduced me to a lot of new music, some good, some horrible. What really stood out to me was the band El Guincho. They sound kinda like Animal Collective in Spanish on ecstasy at Carnival. Nonetheless, while I have no idea what they're singing about, they make excellent summer music. I played then for some of the six year old boys that I was looking after last week and we had a lot of fun rocking out and dancing around the house. This particular song is called Costa Paraiso.

It's cool- but pretty much non-nonsensical.

It's starts out "todo lo que soy te lo debo a ti todo lo que soy me viste salir y ahora que no estoy no vas a creer que me vuelva a ir "

Everything I am I owe to you, everything I am, You saw me leave and now that I'm not here you're not going to believe that I'm coming back... and so on.

Cool song, though!
