One Word (Chris Cox Club Edit) :: Kelly Osbourne

Maybe this has happened to you before- you're sitting in your car, listening to the radio, when a really catchy, fun song comes on. You start bopping your head, getting really into it... and then you realize that is an anti-smoking PSA. Or an ad for Diet Mountain Dew. Or it is a song by someone that you never really thought of as a legitimate artist, like Kelly Osbourne. But you like the song a lot.

That's what happened when I went to Chicago last summer with some friends. My friend put in his clubbin' techno mix, and this song was on it. I really, really rocked out to it, and was SHOCKED to learn in was Kelly Osbourne. I especially like when she sings: "It's not the way that I want it... It's just the way that I NEED it day after day..." I sing those lines to myself sometimes, just to reinforce some stuff that needs to happen in my head.

This is the Chris Cox edit of the song, which makes a huge difference. Cox is pretty kickin'. I would recommend turning the volume up loud and just dancing to this song.

One word breaks the code of silence,
Silence tells me all I need to know.
One Word,
One Word, tells me everything I need to know.

One word driven in to madness,
Madness driven by the depths below.
One Word,
One Word, tells me everything I need to know

[chorus]
It's not the way that I want it,
It's just the way that I need it.
Day after day
It's not the way that I want it,
It's just the way that I need it.
Day after day

One lie tells a thousand stories,
The greatest stories that were ever told.
One Lie,
One Lie, tells the greatest stories ever told.

One man can predict the future,
a future journey in to outer space.
One Man,
One Man, a future journey in to outer space.

[chorus 2x]

[French talking]

[chorus 2x]
